DAY 1: MARRAKECH → HIGH ATLAS MOUNTAINS → MERZOUGA DESERT

Your 2 day Merzouga adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel or riad in Marrakech. The route heads south and quickly begins climbing into the High Atlas Mountains, where you’ll make photo stops along the way to take in the dramatic mountain scenery. After a lunch break at a restaurant en route, the road continues toward Merzouga.

You’ll arrive in the late afternoon, just in time to meet your camels. From the edge of Erg Chebbi, you’ll ride into the dunes, pausing atop a high ridge to watch the sun sink and set the sand on fire in shades of orange and copper. The camel trek continues to your luxury camp, where a private tent is waiting for you. After a shower and a hot Moroccan dinner, the evening unfolds around a campfire with drumming, Berber singing, and a sky packed with stars.

DAY 2: MERZOUGA DESERT → AIT BEN HADDOU → MARRAKECH

Wake up early for one of the most peaceful moments of the trip — sunrise over Erg Chebbi. After breakfast at the camp, a 4×4 will carry you back to the town of Merzouga, where the long drive back to Marrakech begins. You’ll make several stops along the way, including a lunch break and a visit to the panoramic viewpoint of the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou — a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987 and a filming location for many internationally famous productions. You’ll arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon, where your driver will drop you off at your accommodation.
